James Frost

is a London-born filmmaker.

James has directed iconic, award-winning videos for Alabama Shakes, Coldplay, Norah Jones, OK Go & Radiohead, amongst many others.

Radiohead's "House of Cards” video was screened in contemporary art museums worldwide as part of the 'Decode: Digital DesignSensations' Exhibition and nominated for ‘Best Music Video’ and the 51st Annual Grammy® Awards.

In 2019 James was commissioned by Rüfüs Du Sol to create a 360º film for the song "Underwater," which screened at HP's Antarctic Dome at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, Indio, CA, where it played over two consecutive weekends to an estimated 100,000 people.

In 2020, James collaborated with Rüfüs Du Sol again to direct the video for their lead track, "Alive." He used only Unreal engine to create realistic landscapes for viewers to explore in one continuous movement.

James has directed commercials for the world's most recognizable brands, including AmericanExpress, AT&T, Bank of America, BMW, Ford, IBM,Mercedes Benz, Nike & Verizon.

In 2020, James directed a short psychological thriller, “AlmondWood.” The story follows a young socialite as she takes her lover to the woods for a birthday surprise that is both erotic and sinister. The film was well-received and won several awards, including Best Short Film and Best Actress at the Roma Short Film Festival in Rome, Italy, and Best Thriller at the Paris Film Awards. It was also shortlisted at various festivals, such as Siff, NY International Film Awards, Independent Shorts Awards, Tokyo International Film Festival, London International Film Festival, and the LAShorts Film Festival.

In 2023, James completed work on a second short film entitled "Edmund," The story follows an alien who chooses to leave a divided society on Earth and return home. The film is due to hit selected festivals in late 2023, Early 2024.

James is currently developing a narrative feature entitled "It's Just Harder Lately." As well as developing a documentary film entitled "The Tenth Man" with Academy Award-nominated Producers Daniel Dubiecki and Lara Alameddine.
